Edited by Stephan Clemens, Boris Fehse and the Working Group Gene Technology Report
This brochure on the application of “new genomic techniques” (NGTs), such as CRISPR/Cas, in plants takes the current regulatory debate in the EU as an opportunity to explore the technical basis of genome editing of plants as well as legal assessments and questions regarding the patenting of NGT plants, while also addressing sustainable and organic agriculture.
In addition to the thematic contributions, the WG Gene Technology Report presents recommended courses of action on central issues of genome editing in plants.
